The needle (again)

I finally found some of these old pictures last weekend and scanned them again. This atleast will give a larger picture than the ones I had before. I really like this photo and during this time, I had a lot of micro pictures like this. Pictures of a stylus of grampahone, ants, treads in cloth...all sorts of stuff. These were taken with what are called macro filters....cheap fittings that can go in front of the regular lens. It was a manual camera..but a Nikon nevertheless. I think the camera was made in 1980 or something.

Bombay (Gateway of India)

Smaller version of this was posted before (I had the small ones from a previous upload to yahoo photos). I stumbled upon the original photos again last weekend and I scanned them again.

Twin candles

This was during my initial days with photography when I suddenly had this stunning picture in my hand. Somebody watched a TV show where they said that if you put a pin under a candle, the candle will float. So, we put two candles in a regular drinking glass...and tried this picture. A scanned(with brightness lowered) picture is at the bottom of this blog and this is the original...straight scan from the 4X6. Dont know where these spots come from...may be the scanner or just that the photo was scratched.
